Children at play at the Henry House Foundation

Established in 2006, the Henry House Foundation, a non-profit organization, is a way for J.J. and his family to help children through projects that physically and emotionally benefit the communities they love.

"The people of North Central Texas and Southern New England have been encouraging and supportive of my career path and it is with great appreciation to these communities that the Henry House Foundation returns those gifts of support and encouragement to them through their best resource – the children."

The Henry House Foundation is excited to share the completion of numerous community projects over the last two years. The initial project was unveiled during the week of May 19, 2008, coinciding with the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club, when the Foundation hosted the grand opening of a golf-themed teen room in Cook Children's Hospital. Working closely with Cook Children’s to create a fun, relaxing haven filled with top of the line entertainment and technology for long-term patients, the Henry House was thrilled to see the room already being used on it’s grand opening day.

During the spring of 2009, The Henry House has been working closely with the KinderFrogs school in Fort Worth to assist with their tangible needs. The Foundation excitedly announced a gift of $25,000 worth of new tangible therapeutic equipement for TCU's littlest and most precious frogs. KinderFrogs is a laboratory school for children with Down Syndrome in the College of Education and the Henry House funds will enable the early-intervention education preschool to stay current with the latest in room enhancements and give the children access to the best possible therapies on both an integrated and individual level. On Tuesday May 26, 2009 J.J. and Lee Henry visited the campus to meet the KinderFrogs Director, teachers and staff and most importantly have an opportunity to see the children enjoying the new equipment. Many local media outlets along with TCU campus coverage were on hand to witness the special day.

Currently on the platform for the Henry House Foundation is the recent pledge to raise funds and generating awareness for The First Tee Fort Worth’s new Ben Hogan Learning Center at Rockwood. Working to gain the financial support needed to build the center, the Henry House eagerly awaits the day The First Tee Fort Worth program can use the building to not only promote the game of golf, but expose children to life skills and the First Tee's Nine Core Values – values such as character, honesty, and integrity. The 3rd annual White Hot Night Gala coupled with the 1st Ben Hogan Invitational were key in helping the Henry House raise both funds and awareness for this worthy venture.
